Puppies and Kittens
Congratulations on your new addition!!!
Here are some of our recommendations for you:
Vaccinations are recommended for both puppies and kittens at:
8 Weeks
12 Weeks
16 Weeks
We do not recommend taking your baby to public spaces until they are fully vaccinated.
If you are going to switch their food, follow the instructions on the packaging. (Switching too quickly can cause stomach upset.)
Your new pet should be dewormed 3 times by 12 weeks.
We recommend spay or neutering at about 6 months.
Puppy classes after 16 weeks is a great way to bond and socialize with your new pet.
Adult Pets
Adult preventive care and wellness exams are very important to prevent:
Regular dental cleanings can prevent future diseases such as kidney and heart disease.
According to Cornell University approximately 60% of pets are overweight. Keeping our pets at a healthy weight can improve mobility and longevity.
Annual bloodwork can be a great way to get an overall look into your adult pet’s health. It gives an opportunity to catch many issues early.
